Overview
It's common for a clerk to manage multiple local councils and need to manage multiple mailboxes. Whilst our Zoho Mail system only allows you to log into one mailbox at a time, we have a mail application that will allow you to effectively manage multiple accounts.
Option 1 - Use Trident
In a nutshell, Trident is a bit like Microsoft Outlook but for Zoho Mail accounts. You can have multiple accounts connected and view your mailboxes separately, or as a Unified Mailbox. The benefit over using Outlook is that Trident integrates all your Cliq chats, ToDo lists, calendars and contacts.
Here's how you set up Trident:
- Go to https://www.zoho.com/trident/ on your Windows or Apple computer and click Download.
- Once the application has installed, open it for the first time.
- It will prompt you to add your Zoho Mail account (your Parish Online Email details). If you're using the OneAuth app, you can just scan the QR code.
- To add other accounts, click the three bars button in the top left, click on Settings, then Accounts, then Add Account
Trident has a lot of customisation. Check out the other Settings from the top-left menu button.
Option 2 - Use Browser Profiles
This will also work nicely for you if you use one computer for multiple councils. Having separate browser profiles means you can log into your Parish Online Email on each browser profile and they're kept separate.
To set up separate browser profiles for the different email accounts, go to your browser profile (the example uses Edge but this can be done in Chrome too). Once you've created the new browser profile you can then log in to one instance of Zoho Mail on one browser profile and the other instance on the other browser profile.
