Changing the title of a page
Overview
You may wish to change the title on a page in which case it's good practice to also change the permalink; this is the address of that page that's used in the menu to direct people to the right place. You will also need to change the title and link in the menu and quick links section.
Method
- In the dashboard, go to pages and select the page you wish to edit.

- In the change the title as required, enter the new name you'd like to give your page.

- At the end of the permalink box, click edit. Just delete the text that's in there and click OK; this will autofill the permalink box to reflect the new title of the page. Don't forget to click update on the page to save your changes.

- Now it's time to replace the page name and old permalink in the signposting pages or top level menu.
- If your page links to a signposting page, go to that signposting page head the the page link that you've just changed, click on the pencil icon. This will open up and box titled, insert/edit link. Search for the page that you've just changed using the search function, and select this. Make sure to change the Link Text and click update. This will take you back to the edit signposting page screen. You may also need to change the Link Summary. Once you've done this make sure you click on Update to save your changes.


- If your page links directly to the top level menu, go to general on the dashboard and then "services and information links" section and click on the pencil icon. This will open up and box titled, insert/edit link. Search for the page that you've just changed using the search function, and select this. Make sure to change the Link Text and click update. This will take you back to the General screen. Make sure you click on Update to save your changes.

- If your page is in the Quick Links section, you'll need to update that too. That's under Home on the dashboard and then under Home Page Links and Summaries. Click on the pencil icon next to the link you want to change. This will open up and box titled, insert/edit link. Search for the page that you've just changed using the search function, and select this. Make sure to change the Link Text and click update. This will take you back to the Home screen. Change the Link Summary text and make sure you click on Update to save your changes.
