Why do some group members not have configurable options?
External email addresses assigned to a Distribution List won't have Status or Post Approval until they've accepted the invite to join the group.
They'll receive an email asking if they'd like to accept the invite. It will look something like this:
This opt-in is in place to stop you adding people to groups without their consent.
Only once they've accepted the invite will you be able to configure the group settings.
