Why are my incoming emails being blocked?

Your email system may be rejecting messages because of email security checks designed to prevent spam, spoofing, and phishing attacks.

SPF is a security check used by email systems. It checks whether an email really came from the address it says it came from. If the check fails, the email may be blocked or rejected

This often happens when an email has been:

  • forwarded
  • resent
  • sent through another mailbox or system

For example:

  1. A company sends an email
  2. The email is forwarded through another account
  3. Your email system sees the forwarded version
  4. The security check fails and blocks it

Possible fixes include:

  • Ask the sender to send the email directly
  • Avoid forwarding emails through another account
  • Add the sender to your safe sender list
