Transferring Calendar Items from Outlook to your GOV.UK email

This will explain how to export your calendar from the various flavours of Outlook and import it into your GOV.UK email hosted by Parish Online.

Exporting from Outlook Desktop (Classic)

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click on File
  3. Click on Save Calendar
  4. Click on the More Options box to modify the export
    1. Choose the date range you want, e.g. Full Calendar
    2. Change Detail to Full Calendar
    3. Click Ok
  5. Give the file a name and click Save (this will save an ICS file)

Export from Outlook.com (web version)

  1. Log into outlook.com
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Click on Calendar
  4. Click on Shared Calendars
  5. Under the Publish a Calendar header:
    1. Select your calendar from the drop-down
    2. Select the permission "View all details"
    3. Click Publish
  6. Click the ICS link and click Download

Import

  1. Log into the webmail for your gov.uk email address (www.parish-online.co.uk/email-login)
  2. Click the Calendar icon in the left-hand panel
  3. Under My Calendars there's your own calendar. Click the three dots icon that appears when you hover over it.
  4. Click Import
  5. Drag and drop (or fine) the ICS file you saved earlier
  6. Click Import
