Posting a News article

Overview

News stories can be used to post information and notices to your website. 

Method

  1. Log in to your admin panel 
  2. Click 'News Articles' in the left-hand menu

  3. Click 'Add News Article' in the submenu

  4. Replace the "News Article Title Here" with your story title, enter an article summary and select an appropriate topic for the story. 

  5. Follow the "Setting a Featured Image" guide to choose an image to go with your story - the image that you select will appear in your story and also will appear on the homepage with the link to the new article.  If you leave this blank the placeholder image will show on your homepage.  If you don't want the placeholder image you will need to set a featured image.

  6. Enter the article body. This is the main content of the new article.

  7. Over on the right, click Publish.  The article with the newest date will appear first in your list and on the Homepage.  If you'd like to change the date of an article you can choose to edit that under "Publish Immediately - Edit"
